Almost Gone

by Thom Costa - copyright 2021 Almost Gone

I don’t know where your going to
But I want to come
I don’t’ know what your going to do
But I want to
Today is here and tomorrow coming
Yesterday is just song about tomorrow

We’re almost gone just like today is
We’re almost gone just like the day is
We’re almost gone it's not too late now
We’re almost gone don't want to waste it now yeah

When I look around I see what I’m gonna do
You know I feel like time might be running out yeah
I don’t want to waste it being away from you
You know I planned to spend it all on you
Tomorrow’s just a hope and today is almost gone

We’re almost gone
Just like today is

We’re almost gone
Just like today is

We’re almost gone
It’s not too late now
don’t wanna waste it now
We’re almost gone

Some Things Just Never Feel Quite Right

by Thom Costa - copyright 2021 Almost Gone

Hear the rain on the window sill
Feel the darkness creeping in
Jaws of loneliness close so tight
Ya know it’s just not right
Hard to breath thru the night
Some things just never feel quite right

You left me alone in the world
All alone every night
Some things just never
Some things just never feel quite right

It’s not just me that’s left behind
But a little one who will always wonder
What could have been but never will
He’ll play the cards as they’re dealt
You wanted to stay a little longer, but your time was up
It was time to cash your chips in

You left me alone in the world
All alone every night
Some things they just never...
Some things just never feel quite right
somethings never they never feel quite right

Teacher

by Thom Costa - copyright 2021 Almost Gone

Teacher,
what are you teaching
Preacher, what are you preaching
Practice what you preach…uh!

Teacher,
teach me about the groove
Teacher, tell me about the pocket

Teacher,
tell me about space
Preacher, preach me on the human race

Teacher,
show me how to rock

Teacher,
tell me about jazz

Teacher,
Teach me how to funk

Preacher,
Help me lose these blues....

Teacher
What are you teaching

Preacher
What are you preaching

Practice what you Teach…Uh!

Tequila Nights

by Neil Salamack - copyright 2021 Almost Gone

Dark almond eyes see right through you
Tequila skies, red, orange hue
Stars that dance, there’s no turning back
Shades your night to velvet black

Whoa oh oh ohh… (vocal ensemble)

Lonely nights knockin’ at your door
Let them in, you’ll want no more
They call to you, and you will go
Drunk dancin’ nights in Mexico

Ohh whoa, whoa, tequila nights in Mexico
tequila nights in Mexico
Ohh whoa, whoa, whoa

Need just one night to escape
Break free from her warm embrace
The music’s loud it draws you in
Tequila nights will hide your sins

Ohh whoa, whoa, whoa …tequila nights in Mexico
tequila nights in Mexico
Ohh whoa, whoa, whoa

Lonely nights knock at your door
Let them in, you’ll want no more
They call to you, and you will go
Drunk dancin’ nights in Mexico

Whoa oh oh oh…(vocal ensemble)

Where will she go, when the night is through
No, she won’t stay to comfort you
Your body aches but you want more
She blows a kiss and walks out the door

Ohh whoa, whoa, oh oh oh tequila nights in Mexico…..
tequila nights in Mexico
tequila nights in Mexico
Whoa oh oh oh oh

Halloween

by Thom Costa - copyright 2021 Almost Gone

Bats and snails
And lizard tails
Eye of newt, dirty finger nails
Tongue of a werewolf, a vampire tooth
We’re cookin’ up a witch’s brew for me an you
Go ahead take a taste
Try a little sip
Taste like outer space yeah a real trip
It smells like a trance ya know it feels like a spell
We’re going for a ride thru the fires of hell

October 31st is Halloween
Witch’s cackle and children scream
Evil wakes up from a year long dream
Tonight’s the night for Halloween

Dracula lives, the black lagoon
There’s a werewolf howlin’ at a full moon
Frankensteins’ monster and the mummy too
A horde of evil goblin’s gonna gobble up you

This ain’t no Ghost busters or Exorcist 3
This ain’t Jason on Friday the 13th
This ain’t Freddy Kruger or that Elm street scene
This is the real thing we’re talking Halloween!
